Hybrid Self Portrait
For this artwork I used Photoshop and a camera.
In Photoshop I used masking to separate the subject from it's original background. For the illustrations I used a pen tool and a shape tool- I also did some light shading on the original photo with the help of an overlay layer.
I think the part i'm most proud of is that subtle shading, it's really cool to see how much the feel of an art piece changes when you turn on or off a layer of it.

David Hockney Imitation
For this artwork, I used both a camera and the program Photoshop.
To make this artwork, I used an effect called a drop shadow on squares of the image that I cut out. I had to be careful to try and keep the squares all approximately the same size. (About 32 x 32?)
I think I'm most proud of her head? I think the spots I put the squares in look nice.

For this artwork I used Photoshop.
I took a picture of my room (before I had finished moving in!) and edited its colours, then i found a bunch of 3D pictures of cats.
I used the magic-brush-wand-select tool thingy to help get rid of the backgrounds! I might have used masking on a couple of them too. The way I changed the background wasn't working as well as I wanted it to on the cats, so I used a clipping mask layer on them with adjusted opacity. I used Gaussian blur on the cats shadows- both the ones on the ground and on their shading. The ground shadows are actually just a duplicate of a cat layer that has been turned black and been free transformed!
I'm most proud of the cats shading and shadows, I feel like their a lot more accurate in consideration of the light than usual!
